This prayer guide is designed to help us align our hearts with God’s heart as we turn our attention to the plight of the children in our great city of Houston, and it is designed to help us pray in unity.  Below is the summary outline.  To view the prayer guide in it's entirely, please visit our website at www.bellaireumc.org and click on:   "Pray for the Children".

Use the prayer guide in your prayer closet, during the prayer at meal times, in your small group, or with your family.

It is our heart's desire to raise up an army of praying people seeking God’s heart for the children of Houston.

Day 1: 

  • Pray for children of all the nations represented in this great city
  • John 3:16, 2 Corinthians 5:16-17

Day 2:

  • Pray for those children living in poverty
  • Isaiah 58: 6-8, Matthew 25:37-40

Day 3:

  • Pray that the rising level of infant mortality will be reversed
  • Psalm 139:13-18, Psalm 82:3

Day 4:

  • Pray that human trafficking will end, especially for innocent children
  • Psalm 146:7, Ephesians 5:11-13

Day 5:

  • Pray for positive and successful educational experiences for all children
  • Isaiah 11:2-3, Matthew 5:14-16

Day 6:

  • Pray for the parents, especially for those who have children ‘at-risk’
  • Mark 10:16, 1 Peter 4:10

Day 7:

  • Pray that Advocacy Groups for children will be successful
  • Psalm 68:35, John 12:26
